Jerome, <em>Three men in a boat (To say nothing of the dog)<\/em>,\u00a0J. W. Arrowsmith, 1889 (ed. it.\u00a0<em>Tre uomini in barca (per non parlare del cane)<\/em>, Rizzoli, 1978).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Un accenno di trama<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The book is <em>Three men in a boat:<\/em>\u00a0it\u2019s a humorous novel and it tells about three men, Jerome, George, and Harris, and their misadventures during a weekend in boat. There is also a dog with them named Montmorency. Even the dog has its misadventures. Jerome is a hypochondriac, while George is a sleepyhead and Harris is a buck-passing. They decide to spend a weekend away from all the stress in London, so at the end they decide to go on a short boat trip. Not everyone is excited about such an idea. As a matter of fact, Montmorency is not. On this trip, fun twists and turns for those who read the book\u00a0will not fail. Someone will even forget to be at the helm! There are so many other funny anecdotes, which make the book so enjoyable. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Cosa ne penso<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The characters are hilarious and even what they say it is. The things I liked the most were the sense of humour, the continuing comedic situations and the ease that they have towards life in general. The novel also describes what life was like during the period and also describes the most important landmarks in London, making it even more interesting for those who love this city. Everyone should read this book, it\u2019s impossible not to laugh while reading it!
